My point exactly. We are_not_supposed to win this war. This is a study in
evolution. And evolution has made machines our equals or maybe more
correctly - the dominant species of the world. The machines have adopted a
way of life on the cold surface of the Earth as it exists, while humans
unable to survive in the cold, dig into the Earth core to keep warm. The
machines are superior to man both in ways of survival of the fittest, but
also reaches equality with us mentally and emotionally over the course of
these three movies. As I see it, Neo learns from the machines and the
machines learn from Neo - and in the end, a truce is the only plausible
end - and believable too.
