Since the killer aliens were technically insects, it's possible that
like Earth insects, they may have become partially immune to the gas/poison
used on them. Maybe the big alien in the ship was surprised and killed by
surviving killers.  It will be interesting thing to see how they match
the Predator against the Alien next year.
