I appreciate your honesty in acknowledging you haven't read it. I didn't think so. Do you consider yourself intellectually honest? Are you willing to put aside any personal agenda and really get to the bottom of the issue, even if it means you might have to change your mind? Then you should read the book. You have no credibility in calling it "propaganda" if you haven't read it. Many (including myself) have believed the conspiracy theories and then come to believe in the Warren Commission as a result of the extreme logic and thoroughness found in "Case Closed." It's always a good idea to familiarize with both sides of an argument before convincing yourself you have the answers. If you truly have an open mind, and read the book, I'm fairly certain it will shake up your existing beliefs. What I find compelling is that Posner doesn't just spew "propaganda"; he builds most of his arguments around statements and evidence that can be easily proven. For example, when he quotes the numerous witnesses who saw Oswald in the TSBD around the time of the shooting, or heard the gun shells hitting the floor above their heads on the sixth floor, you don't have to take his word for it; all this testimony is easily verifiable by looking in the Warren Commission report, which was published in 1964. Of course, if you're too emotionally tied to your current beliefs, then don't read the book and just continue to argue from a non-well-rounded perspective.
