FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Raiders Drum and Bugle Corps Announces 2004 Production & New Arrangers Wayne, NJ – November 3, 2003 - The Raiders Drum and Bugle Corps of Wayne, NJ is proud to announce their 2004 production entitled: "Adams: A Sound Journey" The production will consist of the following John Adams' Compositions: "Wild Nights" from Harmonium "Short Ride in a Fast Machine" "Harmonielehre" – Movement III "Fearful Symmetries" The Raiders design team is extremely excited about the potential in these great works for the Corps. The brilliance and sophistication of John Adams' music will translate well for the established Raiders' style and will further strengthen the Corps' dedication to excellence, education and entertainment. The Raiders are also proud to announce two new Arrangers for the 2004 season. Arranging the Brass book will be Michael Hamilton. A Raiders alumnus, Michael has been with the Raiders brass staff since 1994 and Brass Caption Head since 2003. He holds a Masters Degree in composition from Hunter College. Michael has worked with Group Music Inc. in New York City and commissioned for original compositions for various school districts in NY and NJ. In 2001, Michael was composer in residence for musiced.net. Arranging the Percussion book for the Raiders will be Steve Rodrigues. Steve has been with the Raiders percussion staff since 1998 and is a Raiders alumnus. He has arranged & instructed since 1994 for various successful High School groups, including Union High School – Union, NJ, Hanover Park High School – East Hanover, NJ and Elizabeth High School – Elizabeth, NJ. Steve has been Percussion Caption Head for the Raiders since 2003.
