Possible making the second storyline really boring was a mistake. It sounds (from the tankoban notes) like he had a lot of plans for the series that he hasn't really got around to. Still, with this, Blame! and Narutaru ending, Afternoon is starting to look a little thin. The first issue of Radio Head had some rough storytelling but was still rather promising. And the wide screen color preview for "Me, The Devil and The Blues" made it look really promising, assuming the author keeps the art looking like that and not like his gag manga past.
