I actually found that the interactivity of this was counter-productive.
If they'd just told it as a normal story, leading us through the
relevant parts, I might have gotten more out of it. But letting us
choose the perspective like this when we really have no pretext for
making a selection just makes the thing confusing. In the end I just
randomly clicked an arrow on a whim. But it would have probably been
easier just to stick with one character all the way through.
Maybe if they'd been a little more adventurous with it, actually writing
the script(s) so that it really makes a difference to your
interpretation of the story which character you select, it might have
worked. As it stands, the system doesn't add anything to the play,
except a layer of confusion.
Thumbs down from me :(
Possibly good idea, but it seems to me that they had a good idea, then
got scared by it and copped out, playing it safe and essentially doing
nothing innovative at all.
