I can perhaps help with *zamalenticion* too. While searching for something else in an index the other day, I came across a reference to the herb zamalention [sic]. If you go to http://www.bodley.ox.ac.uk/dept/scwmss/wmss/medieval/mss/ashmole/1462.htm and scroll down to folios 79v-80r, you will see illustrations of "zamalention feminea" and "zamalention masculus" (the Web page's "zamalethion" for the latter is an error; the manuscript clearly reads "zamalention"). I'm no botanist and cannot identify the actual plant or plants (if any) that the work is referring to, but since it claims that both zamalentions heal all wounds, this would seem to be Eddison's herb right enough.
