I thought it was disrespectful of the clown who's doing Kermit NOW - the one who goes on Kimmel and tries to make Kermit "edgy" in an obvious - and pitiful - attempt to act like the Muppets are for grownups. They aren't. They're nostalgia, and I for one like them that way. Sorry to say this, but they're dated, they're period pieces, they're a fond memory - and I don't like those memories messed with. BTW I work with kids and I don't know a single one of them who likes Muppets and some don't even know what they are! And that's as it should be. Time marches on. But I will never forget being a kid and watching "The Muppet Movie" in its firstrun in a theater. Bliss bliss bliss.
