Having just been watching an episode of _The Tomorrow People_ ("A Man
for Emily") from the mid 70s I was rather startled to find a couple of
characters looking rather familiar.
Sandra Dickenson as the spoilt Emily was fairly easy, but up to
tonight, the most embarrassing thing I knew about her brother in this
story was his appearance as the meal du jour in The Hitch Hikers'
Guide to the Galaxy, for yes, this was indeed the rather sober Fifth
Doctor, Peter Davison as the put-upon Elmer given his first taste of
freedom on an Earth that wasn't quite living up to expectations. If
you thought the Fifth Doctor's Edwardian cricket outfit bad, you truly
haven't seen anything yet!
(Of course Peter Davison's most disgusting role has to have been as
Tristan Farnham in _All Creatures Great and Small_ [a farm vet with
all the associations])
