A great debut for "The Triplets of Belleville". It had a very strong
$18000 per-theater-average in six theaters in NY and LA. Its boxoffice is
already over four times the total boxoffice of "Millennium Actress". Here's
hoping the movie will catch on nationwide.
"Brother Bear" and "Looney Tunes: Back in Action" took big hits last week
when "Cat in the Hat" debut. For this weekend BroBear held up pretty well,
staying in the top ten. But it looks like BroBear's run out of gas by now. It
probably won't reach the $100 Million mark. OTOH "Looney Tunes" never had any
gas to begin with and so it continued to sink.
