 3 2 Brother Bear $18,526,927 -4.5% 3,030 $6,114 $44,022,400
11 7 Kill Bill: Volume 1 $2,322,779 -48.7% 1,681 -748 $1,381 $64,797,396

55 51 American Splendor: the Movie $34,636 -7.8% 63 +3 $549 $5,863,478

Well, now. Very impressive numbers for BroBear, IMHO. In this three-day
weekend it nearly matched the take of its two-day weekend, even with the strong
competition of the highly praised family film, "Elf". If it can hold up well
again next week then I'll be convinced that it'll break the $100 Million mark.

I'd hold off on that--
Right now, it's getting the "It's beginning to feel a lot like the Christmas movie season" audiences that have had a long, cold October and want to see ANYTHING that looks like a real studio movie...

(And so--apparently learning from last year's lesson of most early November moviegoers blowing all their money at the beginning of the month, even if it's on a Tim Allen Xmas-themed comedy--they decided to put their animated movie at the *BEGINNING* of the month, and the high-promoted studio-backed big-name franchise comedy at the *END*...
Gee--If only they'd figured that out LAST YEAR!!!!) >_<
