I picked up a copy of the new DC comic which starts with the very beginning of the quest. While I can understand an artist's desire to go back and finally fix something they have always wanted to, I never minded the color or the lettering of the original..it may not have been the artists's exact "vision" due to technological/time/experience restraints, but there is something, I think, more exciting, sincere and "raw" about an old, rough original. At least this part of the quest has the passion and originality. I tend to tune into concept rather than the details of execution but I cant blame an artist for wanting to enhance and perfect..but I think Wendy's time would have been far better spent crafting new original stories..and drawing them herself, instead of hiring other people to draw them for her and most of the time less than substantially. Anyway, Id rather, and will, spend my future money on these new stories which apparently are on their way, rather than buying reworked versions of the original quest..it almost gives me that same feeling I got watching the 25th anniversary edition of Star Wars, where they digitally added in things they couldnt do years ago..who cares! Let it rest as it is, as a groundbreaker.
