The possibility was asked about in some Vertigo X interview. Carey didn't seem to have any concrete ideas about it. The idea might be attractive, but he'd want to do it really well, probably subtly, without cheapening either character. Which is hard, since it's hard to have Lucifer want to even notice Constantine in any natural way; there's a high risk of a crossover seeming like it was being done for the sake of doing a crossover, which would suck. As for reconciliation, I think I'd opt for ignoring the discrepancy, or else saying John was getting harassed by some self-important demon. But isn't the discrepancy contained within Hellblazer itself? I thought the standard Triumvirate (maybe with Belial instead of Azazel) was mentioned by name in the first dozen issues of Hellblazer, along with an appearance of the twins Agony and Ecstasy. Am I hallucinating? It's the Nergal storyline, I think. Maybe the members of the Triumvirate weren't named. Surely someone can check... -xx- Damien X-)
