Very true.  I remember approaching CRISIS writer Marv Wolfman at a con once,
and asking him about the sequence in CRISIS #12 where he showed Kirby's
Kamandi character being adopted by a man who christened him Tommy Tomorrow,
and what had been intended by that.  By then, though, Wolfman's memory had
faded, so that while he was able to report that the sequence had been meant
to lead into a spin-off series, he could no longer provide any other
details.
