You're probably right.  I had first thought of Orion until I realized that 
Orion was already there!  Highfather makes the most sense, especially 
considering the original GDS.  OTOH, a spin on this idea might be more 
interesting.  It might be nice of Highfather was "possessing" Cub in order 
to fight Darkseid, but then returns him to infancy afterward.
