Re: Darkseid, Superboy Redux

Just be happy you have a Superboy back, at least for a while.

Except it's not that Superboy. It's a profoundly different character. (And I'm glad to see that DnA are making that an implicit theme of the story, at least.)

Isn't there an
Earth Prime Superboy lost somewhere. Crisis was where I stopped paying
attention to all these reboots, etc.

*Every* Superboy is out there in a Hypertimeline somewhere, including the original Kal-El of Earth-1. But they're generally not accessible, and--with a few notable exceptions over the past few years--extremely unlikely to show up in any in-continuity DC book.

Although Batman mentioned an Earth-2 in a
recent JSA issue.

New, different Earth-2 from the one you remember, pre-Crisis. (Though functionally the same in many ways as the old Earth-3.)

If I can get a Superboy, Mon-el, and Ultra Boy beating something up again, I'll be happy for a while.

Only Ultra Boy bears any significant resemblance, for me, to his pre-Crisis and pre-reboot character. Mon-El and the original Superboy aren't around anymore, though M'onel is an interesting character in his own right, as far as I'm concerned.
