[META] My RACCie eligibles

Bride of C'thulhu #5 - Okay so I don't follow the
"It's supposed to be chaotic" rule. I don't really
want to mess things up. I want to take the story and
provide a sensible way out that others may choose not
to take.

Dirk Kelvin is YYY #1 - Basically the second half of
Cute Anna Crypt Looter #14. It's a "Jerry MacGuire"
satire.

Dirk Kelvin is YYY #2 - Deja Dude forms a new team
called "The League of Extraordinary Net.Heroes". I
did not go ahead with an LXG satire because I chose
not to see the movie. Will probably wait for it to
come out on TV.

Dirk Kelvin is YYY #3 - "The Matrix Multiplication of
All Fears" is a satire of "The Sum of All Fears" with
references to the Matrix and the Terminator trilogy.

Dirk Kelvin is YYY #4 - "A Few Limericks" is a satire
of Tom Russell's "Five Cantas" from Net.Heroes on
Parade. It's too short to be an entire issue.

Dirk Kelvin is YYY #4.1 - "Interlude" is basically one
scene that could be considered a "back up story" for
"A Few Limericks"

Dirk Kelvin is YYY #5 - "The Mattress Reupholstered
Part I" is the first part of a sequel to Mortal
Posting #6's "The Mattress"

Dirk Kelvin is YYY #6 - "The Mattress Reupholstered
Part II" ends with Dirk Kelvin joining the LNH. This
then makes eight the number of characters I have
introduced to the LNH (Deja Dude, Master Blaster,
Pizza Girl, Linguist Lass, Ordinary Woman, Cute Anna,
Eight of Nine and Dirk Kelvin) not including
Radioactive Dude or Morlock whom I killed off. Other
characters of mine such as Generic Man and Ku Lang
didn't join the LNH, presumably because they didn't
want to.

Flame Wars VI #0 - I didn't really have much to do
with Flame Wars VI #'s -2 and -1 other than coming up
with the concept of the Anti-Moderator. I said that
the Anti-Moderator should have some sort of minions to
defend him and Jesse came up with the name
"Headhunter" (which is reminiscent of Manhunter
although I don't know if Jesse was deliberately
referencing DC's Millenium crossover).

Flame Wars VI #1 - I know that the SNH's Irony Man's
lines "This is becoming a crisis" and "So what is
this? Some sort of crisis on infinite Looniearths?"
are lame but Irony Man (of any Looniearth) is supposed
to both detect and _emit_ irony so that requires him
to be clueless sometimes.

Flame Wars VI #2 - Together with LNH: The Early Years
#3, Nagneto Saga #1, Miss TranslaXXXion #4 and Cute
Anna, Crypt Looter #9, we have five versions of
LNH/SNH/LNV history. I threw in parallels so that by
eerie coincidence similar events apparently have
happened in five different Looniverses.

Flame Wars VI #3 - The LNH's Ultimate Ninja meets the
SNH's Irony Man in an amalgamated Looniverse with
Ultimate Ninja only slightly less clueless than Irony
Man as to what is going on. The issue was intended as
a Marvel vs. DC / Avengers vs. JLA parody and I think
it ultimately worked in that respect.

Flame Wars VI #4 - "Some Much Needed Exposition"
served three purposes: to have Excess explain to the
characters what was going on, to have Excess explain
to the _readers_ what was going on and to have Jesse
explain to _me_ how all the Team/Teenfactor/Cybernet/
LNH2 stuff related to the rest of the series.
Ultimately we also showed the Anti-Moderator to be a
bad-ass dude who wasn't going to go down easily.

Flame Wars VI #5 - By the end of the issue, nothing
really new had happened. It's a character based issue
showing how these five different versions of the LNH
are going to interact now that they are sharing the
same Looniverse. The title "The Ultimates" refers to
the five different versions of Ultimate Ninja and
should not be considered a violation of Marvel's
trademark. :)

Flame Wars VI #6 - I was a bit surprised at first by
the way Jesse changed the ending but after reposting
it I can understand his thinking: the Ultimate
Headhunter was supposed to be the most powerful
headhunter so it made sense to have Ultimate wReam
team up with Ultimate Elektra to battle the
Anti-Moderator and the Ultimate Headhunter. This then
had all of his stuff and all of my stuff dovetail in
the end so that you'd have to read all of it for it to
make sense (sorry).

Generation Zed: The New Class #1 - Never mind the
original reason why I decided to do this issue, the
introduction of Damien Bodharamik made this issue
worth writing. The character serves as a new link
between Lagneto and the LNH. The question, of course,
is "Will he turn out to be a Net.Hero or Net.Villain?"

Generation Zed: The New Class #2 - The true origin of
Damien Bodharamik is revealed (after his appearance in
Lagneto 2016 #'s 1-3) and Boba LaRocque is
re-introduced as a set up for a possible Star Wars
Episode 3 parody. (Is that a spoiler or is it obvious
where I am going with this?)

L2: The Lagneto Saga Part II #5
L2: The Lagneto Saga Part II #6 - A HULK movie parody
L2: The Lagneto Saga Part II #7
L2: The Lagneto Saga Part II #8

Lagneto 2016 #1 - Not a bad issue I think but a bit
short even with a lot of filler.

Lagneto 2016 #2 - The issue didn't really explain much
about the origin of the Newer Mutants that the reader
didn't already know from Net.Heroes... with Children
#3 didn't explain in flashback but it did provide a
reference to Young Lagneto's 1-2 so that we all know
what ultimately happened to Mary Mann.

Lagneto 2016 #3 - I am very happy with the fact that
the Newer Mutants got an issue to themselves. The
fact that they don't say much can be explained by the
fact that, other than N and Nimbo, these characters
simply don't speak English very well. I let their
powers speak for themselves in an open air danger room
type exercise against Damien Bodharamik.

Lagneto 2016 #4 - Again, there wasn't much new in this
issue that you couldn't have gotten from Net.Heroes...
with Children #3 but I did try putting in a bit of
humour and some LNH history references as well as
explaining Eric's motivation a bit better.

LNH: The Early Years #1 - The origin of Professor
Perhap. I thought Professor Perhap would be the next
Lagneto but then I found out from Saxon that he was
already dead. Oh well.

LNH: The Early Years #2 - Doctor Stomper explains LNH
history. There are a lot of holes. How does the
Legion of Net.Hippies fit in? What were the events
that led to the Cosmic Plot Device Caper?

LNH: The Early Years #3 - This tells the story of the
LNH of the eighties from Irony Man's point of view. A
couple of people objected saying that I shouldn't
ignore Jong #3's Legion of Net.Hippies, except I
didn't know that the Legion of Net.Hippies was
supposed to have been taken seriously.

LNH: The Early Years #4 - A Flame Wars VI tie-in that
is mostly a repost of LNH #28 so it might not be
eligible for a RACCie _except_ that we didn't have
RACCies back when it was originally posted. :)

Miss TranslaXXXion #2: "Debbie Did Dracula" is a
parody of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" while the title
refers to the movie "Debbie Does Dallas" which was so
famous that it even got mentioned by Siskel and Ebert.

Miss TranslaXXXion #3 - I had to use the name
"Shagneto". Just be glad I never introduced the
homo-erotic version of Lagneto.

Miss TranslaXXXion #4 - For Flame Wars VI, thanks to
Jesse bringing them in, I ended up expanding on the
XXX-Looniverse with characters like the Ultimate GImp
so of course I wanted to give them their own story.

Young Lagneto #1 - The origin of Hex Luthor!

Young Lagneto #2 - The origin of Bicycle Repair Lad!

Young Lagneto #3 - Lagneto versus Dr. Killfile, round
one!

Young Lagneto #4 - Lagneto versus the Legion of
Net.Hippies! Seeing as how they are now canon!

So, a bit more variety this year, I think, ie not just
Lagneto and Deja Dude, although certainly plenty of
both. Interestingly enough, there seems to be a fair
balance between stories of the past, present and
future Lagneto's this year, although I suppose the
same could be said about last year.

I expect I might contribute to the Bride of C'thulhu
add on story if there's any interest in it.
Otherwise, I might just wait until 2005 and do the
planned Star Wars Episode 3 parody. With Jesse
finished the Team and Tom absent for now, 2004 might
be a fairly dry year for the LNH if nobody else feels
like writing!

Martin
