Thanks for asking. Morty quietly appeared in about one comic a year
throughout the 1990s, a big slowdown from the prolific 1980s. Morty's
last public appearance was in 1999, when he ran for Mayor of McCleary
to focus attention on a de-annexation measure also on the ballot. The
deannexation passed, and Oakwood Homes was sent packing by the voters.
Morty got about 5% as a write-in. CF #10, my response to the wrecking
of our country by "President" Bush and the corporate crowd who put him
in the White House, is Morty's first appearance in Century 21.
