Hello alt.comics types: I just posted this to alt.zines, but also wanted Robin to know I was talking about him, so here it is again: For those alt.zinesters who are unfamiliar with the Bougieman, let me introduce you: he is one Robin Bougie, and he does one of the coolest film zines I've run across. Robin is one hell of an artist (in the indy comic tradition, not the old masters tradition), and each issue of Cinema Sewer is chock-full of terrific art, insightful film commentary, and lots and lots of fun, fun stuff. Robin knows more about movies than almost anyone I know (although we do have disagreements about the merits certain HK films). And I can't say for sure, but I think at least 90% of his 60+ page, comic-book format zine is handwritten, and it speaks to how good his handwriting is (AND how well he writes) that this doesn't make the zine irritating. I urge everyone to check out Cinema Sewer at http://www.bentcomics.com/robin/robin.htm You can buy a copy of CS here, or at one of your local Tower Records stores, assuming you have one, and we're not sold old, which happens. I remain... clint johns Chief Dude, Magazines and Zines Tower Records
