Yes, imagine more decades upon decades of peace, prosperity, and 37h work weeks. It's too awful to contemplate.
And the four week annual vacations, don't forget those. Why, Europeans seem to spend almost as little time on the job as George Bush.
That's what comes from having high marginal income tax rates - you can't
attract the best people by paying them more, because they wouldn't get
to keep any of it.
