IIRC it was Constantine (the first Christian emperor) who required
certain livelihoods to be hereditary. Tiberius did nothing of the
sort. IIRC he just carried on the economic policies of his stepfather
(Augustus). Dege's knowledge of Roman history seems to be as deep as
his knowledge of world history.
