Iliad, the movie

I am a few pages away from finishing I.A. Richards's 
translation and I'm looking forward to seeing the movie.
Do you think they'll ignore the Greek gods and goddesses
that play a big part in THE ILIAD?  The reason I wonder
is that I think it would be difficult to add the gods'
parts without making the whole thing look ridiculous.
