Indeed. Though Sharr-u-kin himself was almost certainly swarthy and
dark-haired, being a Semite. The only fair-haired folk the ancient
Akkadians would have been familiar with would have been (probably
Indo-European speaking) barbarians from what was (to them) the far
North, across many forests and mountain ranges.

The major irruptions of Indo-Europeans into Asia Minor, Mesopotamia,
and India were still several centuries in the future when Sharr-u-kin
said that.
