In the FotR movie, Elrond says "the blood of Numenor is all but spent" 
(borrowing one of Boromir's lines from the book).  I do not recall
any other mention of Numenor.  `Dunedain' makes an appearance
in the extended version of the Two Towers, but I do not think
it showed up in either of the theater releases.
