I was rather stunned when I read that the Houses of Healing scene was going to be omitted from the theatrical release. Supposedly two of the biggest obstacles that Peter Jackson faced when making the movies were the lack of female characters and the lack of romance, and the Eowyn/Faramir subplot contains both. Why on Earth would Jackson not milk it for all it's worth? Of course Eowyn and Faramir are going to get together at the end, but it shouldn't just come out of the blue! -- John Brock [EMAIL PROTECTED]
