It's more complicated than that: Kids - love kids' books (of course) Teens - they're way too "sophisticated" for that childish crap. Adults - enjoy kids' books very well, whether they have kids of their own or not. Of course, some people never really grow out of teenagerhood no matter how old the calendar says they are... Jim Deutch -- My three-year-old niece opening a birthday present: (Very pleased) "A shoe!" A second later: "Wait, there's something else in here!" (Genuinely astonished and delighted) "It's ANOTHER shoe!"
