FS: Contemporary Art Auction Catalogs (Nov 13-14, 2003)

For those interested in Contemporary Art, I would like to offer the
two-volume auction Phillips auction catalog for their sale of two
weeks ago:

(No author)
Contemporary Art Parts I and II, November 13-14, 2003
No edition stated
Phillips, de Pury & Luxembourg, NY, 2003
Softbound

US$30 total for both (plus postage at cost and California sales tax,
if applicable)

Unfortunately I am unable to accept credit cards.

Condition:

Both volumes are nearly new, gently read if at all. Both volumes show
some very slight bumping or wear, but I would expect that this is due
to shipping in a bubble-pack mailer or similar. Both volumes include
the original bid forms, and I have included the Prices Realized from
both auctions (which I printed from the Phillips website). Art auction
catalogs often have marked bid prices or other annotations, but I see
no writing or highlighting at all.

Contents:

Both volumes are 115+ pages, with at least 100+ pages of beautiful
photographed images of the artwork being auctioned. The typical item
being auctioned has a color photograph, sometimes a statement of who
is auctioning the piece, brief biographical information on the artist,
a description of the artwork (date, size, medium, edition size, etc.),
the sales estimates, and often a provenance and/or list of previous
exhibitions or literature references.

There must be 100+ different artist's works being offered. Just a few
are Mike Kelly, Andres Serrano, Basquiat, Alexander Calder, Andy
Warhol, Lynn Chadwick, Francesco Clemente, Gilbert & George, Bruce
Nauman, William Wegman, Gerhard Richter, Sam Francis (and these are
just some artists in Volume II). The most expensive piece auctioned
was a Damien Hirst sculpture that sold for $1.164 million.

These are beautiful books and are sure to please any collector or
student of contemporary art.

All books are securely padded and boxed to protect your purchases,
though often recycled materials will be used. If you prefer, I will be
happy to drop ship your purchase directly to your customer, per your
instructions.

Please make checks or money orders payable to Douglas K. McClure.

I thank you for your business and look forward to your response.
