Doherty has a very nice series set in Edward I time - he makes appearences in the books as well. Start with "Satan in St. Mary's". "The death of a king: a medieval mystery" deals with the death of Edward II. "The Whyte Harte" deals with the death of Richard II. What I especially like about Doherty is that he includes in his author's notes what is historical fact, where he is hypothesizing and why. joan -- Joan Shields [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.ags.uci.edu/~jshields University of California - Irvine School of Social Ecology Department of Environmental Health, Science and Policy
