As the result of an estate sale, I have been asked to dispose of a private book collection, which includes many rare and hard-to-find children's books. Among these are: - The Tale of Gockel, Hinkel & Gakeliah, by Clemens Brentano, (1961) with lovely Maurice Sendak illustrations. (There are other Sendaks, too) - Cautionary Verses, by Hillaire Belloc, with Nicholas Bentley illustrations (1942) with vintage illustrated dustjacket. - Several books by Arthur Ransome (with dustjackets) including "Great Northern" (1950), and "Swallowdale" (1982) - "More "Very Young Songs" by A.A. Milne (Winnie the Pooh), with Music by H. Fraser-Simson and Decorations by Ernest H. Shepard (1929) (One of the hardest-to-find Pooh collectibles) - "The Pooh Songbook" - Verses by A.A. Milne, Music by H. Fraser-Simson and Decorations by Ernest H. Shepard (1961) - "Winnie the Pooh" 1st edition (1926) - thought by some to be the Holy Grail of Pooh collecting. There are too many books to list here, but these will give some idea of the quality of the items to be offered. I will be listing these on eBay, and will try to copy the listings to rec.arts.books.marketplace ONLY to avoid further cross-posting. Keep an eye on eBay over the next several weeks, as new listings will be added almost daily. Just in time for Christmas! Here are some great gift ideas for that special kid on your Christmas list. I will try to get these books away to the winning bidders in time for you to delight that young reader - and yourself! - on Christmas Day in the morning! Good luck! Horatio
