Re: Need suggestions for a 3rd grade advanced reader

My 11 yo reading beyond her grade level daughter has been enjoying the
Oz books.  We are working our way through them, a chapter a night.
Currently reading Tik-Tok of Oz.  She has also enjoyed Alice in
Wonderland.

Some other books my various too advanced for their maturity readers
liked were the Redwall series, Hornblower books (although there are
one or two adult themes in France), Tamora Pierce's several sets of
four books, Treasure Island, 20000 Leagues Under the Sea and the
sequel (something about an island) and the Harry Potter books.
