The first one I ever read was either Alexander Key's _The Forgotten
Door_ or Eleanor Cameron's _Wonderful Flight to the Mushroom Planet_.
Both were in the library shelf of my second-grade classroom.  However,
I didn't have the _concept_ of SF until a few years later; I only
realized they were more than "stuff I liked" in retrospect.
