How desperate is desperate?  Used copies are available of both, but 
they're asking in the three digits; you can check them out at 
www.bookfinder.com.

They're actually not that hard to find in US libraries, but I don't know 
what their UK history is like.  I also don't know what kind of 
interlibrary loan facilities UK libraries offer, but it might be worth 
seeing what you can get through the library route, especially if this is 
for a research project, before you spend the money for a purchase.
