Information about Jon Chalon, author of The Green Bus & The Flying Steamroller

Does anyone have any information about Jon Chalon, author of The Green Bus &
The Flying Steamroller?

These classic children's books are out of print and I can't seem to find
anything, on the Web at least, about the author. I've emailed Hutchinson
Children's Books, who published The Green Bus, but haven't had a response
yet.
