       As long as drainage is not a problem it is OK, as it breaks down it
will not drain as well so watch that area.
       As far as "fertilizer already added" is concerned, read the label.
This is usually described as a starter fertilizer and, depending upon your
watering practices, may last a month.  After that you will need to fertilize based
upon the plant, the season and what you are trying to accomplish.
       I favor Osmocote time release fertilizer.  But the 90 day version says
that it is based upon a temperature of 70 F.  What do you think happens at 90
F? (Some time release fertilizers are based upon watering, but many are
released by temperature, Osmocote is one of those.)
       With Osmocote you will see little balls (they call them prills) of
liquid after a few weeks.  But after about a month in our climate, the prills
contain only water.
