Well if you are intent on it let me explain what I went through. I cut
through all but a flap of my index finger on my right hand with a trim
saw.
6 months of physical therapy followed that
some of which was the most painful experiances I can describe. You see when they reattach all the tendons are short so they have to systematically re streach them. This hurts none too little.
Jason, It will get better, when I was about 12 I put my hand through a window and nearly cut my thumb off. The main shard went through the lowest thumb joint ( down in the meat of the hand) like popping a chicken wing joint. they had to dig the tendon up from my wrist to re-attach . the stretch of the scar and the tendon was a thrill. . I still can't open that hand up like the left. And I can tell when it's going to rain<G>
