Thanks for any info... Yes, there is a particular reason why you should wait longer before changing the jewelry, it's likely that your nostril piercing hasn't healed, it's just healing /well/ at the moment. If nothing untoward happens, it should continue to heal nicely with no irritation. I suspect that changing jewelry around at this point would qualify as untoward. Keep doing whatever it is that makes your piercing happy, and let it heal completely before you fool around with it. In my experience, many piercings sort of sit there and look good for the first week or two before they start complaining a bit. I don't know if that's a natural part of some healing processes or if it's because we get complacent and start tormenting them after a couple of weeks. If you want to go to a larger gauge, it's likely you can stretch the piercing if you do it sensibly, assuming it's not hugely larger that you want to go to. I think that many piercings heal easier if they are pierced with a larger needle than the jewelry, so personally I wouldn't stretch up a nostril piercing until it's very well healed. You've got a piercing that's healing really well, have patience and let it continue to do so, you've lots of time to put all sorts of jewelry in it. nj"good luck"m "Then she beat it to death and stuffed it unceremoniously in an empty coffee can.
