The computer and software are simply tools. If you still do all your design and engineering by hand and manage to make a living of it, my hat's off to you. Most of us see the value of automating some of the work. TekCAD 2 Pro simply includes integrated software to do finite element based structural analysis during the design process. It only makes it easier for architects to do the work, it does not do the work for them. Any serious architect (ie. one who works for a living) knows that good design and profitability are both important - it is a business - and *that* is honest, dignified work. If you've got robots who can do creative architectural design, Richard, by all means market them. You'll make a bundle, I'm sure. I'm personally glad that the architect still matters. - Dave "Private" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message news:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > "brudgers" > > Interesting that there is no mention of the architect who actually > designed > > it. > > That's a good point, brudgers, but apparently it's Starnet Corporation- > perhaps an affiliate of TekCAD- that did the roof- using TekCAD 2, by the > way. > (Which looks alot like Per's H3D, by the way- plus the triangularity.
