Actually it's a book and a movie, based on sub warfare in the Pacific in 
W.W.II. The book was written by Edward L Beach Jr. a U.S. submariner in 
the war, and the movie featured Clark Gable as a sub commander. Both are 
excellent in their own ways.

Too "form-fitting" or are you referring to the "Navy" designator being 
on the right hand side of the uniform vice the left?
