i've seen some non-painted completed pics of this kit, and it seems the colour-coding of the plastic for this kit isn't as good as the standard HGUC kits... But i agree with you on the price. It's a bit on the expensive side (1200 yen right?). I'd much rather get the Raider for 1500. Also, if u think this one is bad, in terms of runners for price, IMO, the 1/144 HG freedom is a lot worse. It's a 1500 yen kit, and when i opened the box, it was only like half full (forgot how many runners, and i'm too lazy to dig it up in my basement). They had to use the bigger box to justify the 1500 price... Maybe i shoulda picked up the Justice instead... heck, the Aegis had more parts than the Freedom and it was only 1200yen...
