Thanks for the note Gus, but I must beg differ. Those are -NOT- resin kits (yes, I have the Megazone 23 and Macross "Jumbo Figures.") Most people associate vinyl with "hollow" kits, and those were certainly common in the early 90's, but has more or less disappeared since. The last "serious" attempt to produce vinyl kits I think were ARII's Macross character kits that were also available as finished products marketed as "PVC HiQuality Model (I have a couple of them in my closet.) According to Macross World, twelve were planned but only six were ever released. What is unusual about Tsukuda's line of Jumbo Figures kits (varies Urusei Yatsura characters, Megazone 23 characters, and Macross characters.) were that they were cast in solid vinyl. What inspire Tsukuda to do this I do not know, since resin kits were gaining popularity, albeit not from any "main stream" manufacturers (Kaiyodo, Volks, Wave and so forth were not considered as main stream.) "Gus Jae" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message news:[EMAIL PROTECTED] : These are the original kits and are casted in resin, not vinyl. They were : made before 'Garage' resin kits became mainstream in the mid 90s. : To some, these are treasures that should not be built. If the guy list them : on Yahoo Japan Auction, he will get a pretty decent buck.
