There might be too many characters for a quarter-hour show.  OTOH
they're not really making proper use of the entire cast given the
increased running time, are they?

Given that characters in this show's universe don't seem to live 
very long, late 20s is well past the halfway mark for Go's expected 
lifespan.

And he sure doesn't SEEM like a 20something.  He seems like a 
30something.  The reading glasses plus his stocky build make him
seem older.  For comparison, the robot pilot Max seems like a 
20something.  And Anna seems like what she is - a teenager.

I thought, in traditional Japanese households, the women put their
husbands on an allowance?
