Perhaps sorta.

.Hack & Chobits (less so) probably borrow a bit from existing MMORPGs,
so it's not unusual they'd be a bit similar in depiction of a gaming
area.

Actually, that'd make an interesting crossover, since they cover
similar themes of 'virtual' entertainment and the stagnation of human
interaction.
