Re: [News] Japan's New Export

this topic illustrated the pitfall of cross posting articles when it
doesn't have to, which is why I seldom reply to one, especially consider
that Stan Lee originally posting this NEWS article as a service, not as
a flame bait. (next time, Stan, please just post the link, not the
entire article? so people would be clear that you are not the original
author. :)

yes, it is a news article, which reported on some people's feeling
toward manga and comic, but it certainly does not indicate that it is
the opinion of the author, nor is it correct to say all people who read
manga hold that opinion.

I would suggest people who have problem with that article write to the
original author.

the definition of manga and comic is the #1 topic on RAM ever since it
came into existence 10 years ago, it will be brought out and argue about
once or twice a year, all sides' arguments are EXACTLY the same, it had
not changed even 10 years ago, to save yourself some gray cells, people
should use google to look up some of the earlier articles on alt.manga,
rec.arts.anime, and rec.arts.manga, especially during the creation
process of RAM, then they will have a better "understanding" of the
arguments, (the one time when you need Conty and he is not here...)

the RAM group chapter like every other newsgroup, does exist and
available for all to read, I encourage people to read them plus the FAQ,
they exist for a reason. whether you agree with it or not.

one consistent fact I noticed, all the arugments before had NEVER
changed anyone's opinion who are involved in the process. which mean it
would be just a waste on the wear and tear of the silicon chips turning
out the electrons of your thoughts travleing over thousands of miles
costing god know how many GW of electricty, serverly narrow the
bandwidth to force people d/l porn at a slower pace, not to mention all
the skin cells dies on your fingertips,

this made me wonder what is the French, German, and Latin word for
comic? knowing French, they will be all work out about it for this
topic, (using the word of manga is an invasion on our culture!)
