I would disagree.  The airliner was a hostage situation and while he
and Kurz were wounded they did resolve the situation without loss of a
hostage due to Sousuke's actions.  And during the Hermajistan mission
Sousuke ended up being in effective command of the unit as Gray
continued to turn to him for advice.
