What's so weird about that?  Escaflowne and Inu-Yasha have leads
who aren't total wusses, villains who are just plain bad, and plots
you can comprehend.  When I see a segment of Fushugi Yugi, I am left
wondering what the hell that was.  Why is this girl wandering around
acting stupid?  What is she trying to accomplish?
