| mercenary outfit.  Their ranks are small and so promotion to senior
| slots is going to be rapid.  After all, Tessa is a captain (colonel to
| the ground pounders) at 16.  I'm surprised that Sousuke is Mao's
| subordinate though.  It seems to me that his military experience and
| command abilities are far in excess of Mao's.  Particularly after
| seeing his performance in the Hermajistan mission against Gauron.

Maybe, maybe not.  He has excelent tactical awareness, but his ability to
make good decisions is lacking.  Case in point, he and Kurz wounded after
the airliner escape early on.  He doesn't see the big picture.
