[.Hack] Question about Annwyn

I just got my hands on volume 5 of the .Hack//Sign TV series.  In one
episode, it looks like we find out Bear's real name: Ryo Sakuma.
There is a manuscript on a table next to a monitor, with the text
"Annwyn Side Story, by Ryo Sakuma".  I'm trying to find out what
Annwyn refers to.  So far, I've found a reference to a German (Dark
Wave) Goth band of this name, as well as a mention of a Celtic goddess
of the Underground.

Can anyone tell me more about real-world references to  Annwyn?  And,
is there any reason to believe that Ryo Sakuma might be a reference to
something, as well?
