...for every time one of the lesser heroes has launched an attack that
appears to have defeated the main villain - only for the clouds of
smoke to clear, revealing them to be completely unharmed.

...for every time that anyone loudly bellows the name of the
power/attack in order to make it work.

...for every time the villain appears to have avoided the hero's sword
and stands there for several seconds laughing/grinning/mocking the
hero and is seemingly unaffected - until their body splits in half
down the middle or their head falls off.
