Missing: "Kodomo no Omocha" and "Princess Tutu".

And what was that dude's name, Miyasomething?  Anyway, he did a few 
movies featuring strong female characters...

o "Princess Mononoke"
o "Whisper of the Heart"

Also, maybe one of the versions of "Bubblegum Crisis". And "Shamanic
Princess."

(Incidentally, I am reminded that someday I'd like to see "Butt Attack 
Punisher Girl Gotaman".  As I haven't yet, I can't nominate it for this 
list.)

I gave up on this show after about 20 episodes.  Up until that point, 
the romance was the *worst* aspect of "Fushigi Yugi".
