Most likely leave them as is.

Depends a lot on the show.  A classic samurai drama, for example - I can see
leaving in some of the prefixes/suffixes.  A high school comedy though, no.

Again, it would depend on situation, but probably I would lean more towards
"translating" the spirit of the joke, by putting in a western version of the
joke.
